98. Why Wildflower?

I probably should start by introducing myself, this is after all, my first blog ever (with the exception of my ONE guest appearance on the 100 Day Wedding.) I am Jack, husband of Rianna, dreamer and knowingly ambitious beyond reality. That pretty much sums it up.

Today was a day of logistics, we created social media accounts (you can follow them in the menu) confirmed an ABN and registered our name with none other than the Australian Securities and Investments Commission a.k.a ASIC.. I know what I would be telling my friends I worked for.

So I thought seeing as to my knowledge we officially own the name Wildflower Espresso I would tell you the story of why?

There is a long back story and we won’t get caught up in the details but if you have made your way to the bottom of the page you will see a little verse Luke 12:27

“Walk into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They don’t fuss with their appearance—but have you ever seen colour and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them. If God gives such attention to the wildflowers, most of them never even seen, don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?”

Yes, this is from the ironically most stolen book of all time The Bible and its incredible.

This verse means a lot to Rianna and myself, It is a really good slap in the face when your selfish mind starts thinking woe is me, and trust me there has been times when we have needed it. If only we know how much God cares about the wildflowers we could rest in the knowledge that he has our back too..

Wildflower (capitalised) is not just a café, it’s a place where people will come and leave happier, encouraged, it’s a smile and it’s a drop of value added to your potentially draining day.

Our mission statement is to be customer focussed not competitor focussed, to spread love into our world and remind the people that enter our cafe that they are incredible.

I hope I am allowed to be honest here and tell you that the coffee (etc.) It’s just a warm, delicious, rich, fragrant and marvellous front for the unavoidable mission that is outlined above.
